5. Would you recommend this course to your peers?
Yes I would.
6. Please list any other comments you would like to share.
I liked this class but I just felt it was very intense. There was just an overloading amount of work each week. You never gave us an easy week. I have take a lot of online courses and this one stressed me out the most. Also 10 weeks is a bit much for an art class. A lot of people I know took major classes and they were way shorter than this class.

Greenberg on Art Criticism: An Interview by T.J. Clark
1. Key concepts of this video are as a critic you will have some prejudicies but to be a good critic you should be open and receptive. Good art can come from anywhere.
2. This does relate to my art criticism project because that is a good tip to use when doing this project.
3. This film was okay. Clark had a very monotone voice and he kind of was hard to follow him. This video did add depth to understanding of art criticism.
An Introduction to the Italian Renaissance
1. Key concepts of this video are that art continually changes. It is good to look at pass works of art to get a great understanding of art. The Romans influence the Renaissance art and reinforced the concepts of perspective, balance, chiaroscuro, composition, and realism.
2. This video relates to my criticism project because it gave good tips and I will use them while doing my project.
3. I liked this film. It added depth to the understanding of art criticism because it gave a lot of background information to the Renaissance. It was a very interesting video.
The Critics: Stories from the Inside Pages
1. Key concepts of this video are that criticism gives both fresh ideas and sugguestions on new ways to look at things. Criticism helps open up art work and allows people to make there own conclusions.
2. This video relates to my criticism project because gives a more modern day perspective on the topic criticism. You can relate more to this video.
3. I liked this film. It added more depth to the understanding of art criticism because it gives a modern take on it. You can relate more to this video.

Project Blog
Well this project turned out harder than I thought. It wasn't easy trying to find inspirational pictures. There were a lot of pictures that came from the book and I did a lot of searching on the internet. I wanted pictures that would make you stop in your tracks and just look at it and then to start feeling and thinking about it right away. Those to me are inspirational pictures. I choose to leave my slideshow with a white background because I think it was in the first video but I am not sure where the curator said art really stands out on a white background and good lighting.

The Lowdown on Lowbrow: West Coast Pop Art
1. Key concepts are a Lowbrow is a person regarded as uncultivated and lacking in taste. Art work is considered Lowbrown because it is out there, wild, nobody knows how to categorize it, and it is reactionary to high brown culture. Influences were Comic Books, B-movies, Rock n' Roll, Surfing, Hot Rods, and Cold War Imagery.
2. This video doesn't really relate to my art exhibit because it is just really out there and crazy. I mean I think it is interesting but it is what it is called Lowbrown and I don't want my art exhibit to be like that. I want my art exhibit to be really meaningful and something your feel within when you look at it.
3. The film is interesting. It gave me a full understanding of what Lowbrow is. I don't know if this video gave me any depth in understanding the concepts I am practcing in my art exhibit. It just gave me an understanding of what Lowbrow was and that I don't want to use it in my exhibit.
Displaying Modern Art: The Tate Approach
1. Key concept to Tate's Approach is displaying art work in chronological order from 1900 to present and to put the art work on white walls with flexible lighting. Also to put pictures into themes and to display them that way as well.
2. The video does relate to the creation of my art exhibit because it showed me how to display the art work. I should use a white background and put in chronological order so it flows better and people can better understand it and see it.
3. I liked the film. It was very informative. It did add depth to my understanding of the art concepts that I will practice in my project.
Bones of Contention: Native American Archaelogy
1. Key Concepts of this video are that people should not dig up buried Indians. They are protected by the states. In Omaha though the Indians chose to have there bones dug up and have the scientist evaluate them for medical purposes because Indians were dying younger and younger. Diabetes is very high in Indians.
2. This video relates to my art exhibit because of the one woman who went to the state and demanded that her ancestor's bones be put back and be undisturbed and she was successful with that. That is very inspirational.
3. This film was informative but kind of confusing. I just don't know how this video really fits into art curation. It really didn't had depth to my understanding.
George Eastman House: Picture Perfect
1. Key Concepts of this video are George Eastman was a great man who invented the affordable camera. He invented the Brownie camera that sold for $1. He help make the first camera that could video tape motion.
2. This relates to my art exhibit because he was a man with an idea and went with it. He is an inspiration to people.
3. I liked this film. Again I don't think this added any depth to the understanding of the art concepts I will practice while doing my art exhibit. It was a great thing to watch to get the background on Kodak but I don't know how this will play into my exhibit.
